Welcome to
College Bowl Pick' Em 2007
January 9th
January 8th
- Congratulations to Ryan Friend who breaks a four way tie for first
(unprecedented) by picking all five of his best picks for a total of
15 tiebreaker points and takes home $5,025. Ryan Vaughan and Jack LeRoy
tied for second with 12 points, and Tania Harrick had 8.
Nick Nutter and Steven Sparks share the infamy of dead last with
nine points, three less than the next worse. Which is impressive in
its own right.
Great work and congratulations. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves
and will play next year.

January 3rd
- Ryan Vaughan has taken over the lead (apparently he is on a tear,
recently won his NFL survivor pool as well) but there are still a bunch
of people on his heels. With four games left there are still twenty
eight people within four games. Of course due to matchups not all those
people can still win, but at least eight still can according to the
player scenarios report (http://www.hltiv.com/turbo/cf07/playerscenarios.html
remember that this report does not account for the top five tiebreaker
that comes before the total points tiebreaker.) With so many people
at the top I have to think the odds are strong we end in a tie year
and go to top five, but we will see
- Most all of you have paid, and i thank you for that. We have a lot
of fun running this event, but collecting from people is NOT any fun.
If you have not paid please do so today.
December 31st (6:30 pm)
- This is getting pretty heated. I am not sure if it has ever been so
tight this far along. Right now there are four people tied for first
with 12, and 43 people within four games of the lead. Any of those people
could win it.
December 27th
- Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone. With one week and
seven games done, we now head into a one week stretch with twenty two
games to play (and three after that). There have been a couple great
games already, and many more to come I am sure. The first week was dominated
by....me, really. However, with my first loss last night (after Purdue
gave up a HUGE lead) its back to a dogfight with a tie between Tania
Harrick and me for first, six players one game back and twelve two games
back. With so many games left to play almost everyone is still in it,
except maybe a few such as Steven Sparks and James McBride who have
yet to record a win. Impressive really.
December 20th
- Thank you to everyone that signed up and welcome. Wes, Brad and I
hope you enjoy, we know we do. We have 67 players this year for an awesome
prize of $5,025. Good luck to all.

December 10th
- Welcome to College Bowl Pick Em 2007. For those of you that have participated
in years past welcome back. For newcomers, this is a great event and
I know you will enjoy it. There is no better way to become intimately
involved in all the games. People often talk about the meaning of the
season around this time of year......and I am pretty sure they mean
College Bowl Season.
- Pick all 32 Bowl Games against the spread plus the tiebreak of your
top 5 best bets and predicted score of the Championship Game. You will
get 5 points for your 1st best bet, 4 pts for your 2nd.and 1 pt for
your 5th. In the event of a tie, the person with the most points wins.
If still tied, closest score wins.
- You will be able to track your standings daily on this website. The
first game is the San Diego Credit Union Poinsetta Bowl on Thursday
night December 20th at 9:00 pm EST. That is the deadline for joining
and payment should be submitted upon completing your entry. One last
note, if there is a tie game (due to the spread, also known as a push)
that counts as a loss as far as the picking of best bets.
- The fee is $75 (or less than $3 per game, which netted the winner
last year $4,050) is payable to: [email protected] via paypal ($78 using
Paypal) with a debit or credit card. Or you can send a check snail mail
to Bradley Cohen: 516 S. Highland Ave. Apt. #31 Pittsburgh, PA 15206.
If you use Paypal make sure you make the subject line something innocuous
such as 'trip payment' or something. I got in trouble last year...
- You can email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.
- A quick note on corrections. Once you have made your
picks online you can not make changes. However, if you need to change
a pick you made, email me the details at [email protected] before the
deadline (No changes allowed after that) and I can make the change.
